President's Message

Dear Cambodian Community members and friends:

I am honoured in serving our Cambodian Community and very proud of our community in supporting the Canadian Cambodian Association of Ontario (CCAO).

The CCAO has outreach beyond the Cambodian community with a great success. Also, the board members have overcome many obstacles in strengthening our community. The CCAO has modified and reinforced the association's administration in order to work much more effectively with the funders and the community. The CCAO has increased training for members of the boards, staffs and volunteers in order to strengthen the association and work effectively with the community. The CCAO has also increased community participation and network in the community in order to serve the needs of the community and preserve Khmer’s culture.

There are many more issues that the boards need to address in order to strengthen the association and the Cambodian community. In order for the CCAO to continue serving the Cambodian community in Ontario, we need the support from our community and Cambodian organizations in Ontario to unite and work together toward a common goal.

The preservation of Cambodian culture and community is a challenge for the CCAO but with commitments and hard work from the boards, volunteers and staffs, it will continue to prosper. I would like to thank the boards, volunteers and staffs for their commitments and effort to sustain our community. I also would like to thank the memberships and the community members for their support of the CCAO.

THANK YOU

Sincerely,

Sambath Chhom
President
